This one was better than the first couple after Vince's epic performance
the lone 50 from this contest might have been the weakest dunk of the night
need the 6 foot 3 to 6 foot 8 highflyers with some creativity to get this going again
The dunk contest isn't going to take off again until some freak of nature can come up with something no one has ever seen before

While I admire Nate Robinson's unbelievable hops, I think every single dunk he did last night was LAME. Dwight Howard at least showed some humor putting that sticker on there. That sticker cracked me up, with his big ol' cheesy smile. I heard he was trying to get them to raise the basket to 12'. Now that would've been worth watching.
The dunk contest is in a sad, sad state right now. Maybe they need to expand the 3-point contest to 8 competitors and go 3 rounds like they used to. Also put a couple more players in the skills competition. Then just go away from the dunk contest for a couple of years.

The dunk contest wasn't so bad. The reason being is that everyone treats this contest like its a joke now. You can clearly tell Gerald Green spent time on his dunk. That he treated this dunk contest seriously and went out to perform it passionately. Green pulled out the alley oop and dee brown dunk to ensure passage to the final round. Once Nate Robinson started doing the repetitive tries, Green knew it was his and just ended up doing his safe dunks to win the contest. I'm pretty sure he didn't use his "wow" dunks that he had planned because he's already saving it for next year. Tyrus Thomas was clearly not into it. Dwight Howard tried to be creative and Nate Robinson played out his sympathy card as being too small. Green kept this contest from being another boring event.

well tyrus thomas did say he was watching old dunk contest tapes because he wanted to pay tribute to the champs... either that or suck up to the judges after his stupid "im just going to get my check" comment. but i agree with you. i was really disappointed because where's the creativity? dwight howard got robbed off some points cuz that sticker thing was at least unique and funny as hell. gerald green should've used his first dunk as his last but that was pretty sick though. so yeah... other than those two i just wasnt too wowed by all the other ones. next year, people need to get more creative because thats what makes the contest fun and exciting!

The part that sucked was the Russian Judge a.k.a. MJ who is the most overrated dunker/player in NBA history. I liked Gerald Greens dunk over Robinson no look. Maybe not the worst but Tyrus Thomas and Nate Robinson shouldnt have been there.

It was brutal, and they knew it. Even when Brown won, he said all the other guys in the past did all the good dunks. And watching Robinson miss his last attempt 10 times was pretty sad.

I think Nate Robinson should be there still! if only Nate was a bit taller or something he would do something nobody has ever seen! at his height he probably can't do anything better than last year. BUT HE COULD JUMP OVER GREEN LOL
