While I appreciate you thoughts, I'd like to point out that your and in fact all Americans information is provided by a bias news media. IF you really want to find out what's happening talk to a returning sholdier. I think you'll feel better about our countries' position and will come away with some truths. As a rule we don't indiscriminately bomb any place, locations are targeted for specific reasons. Try to keep some rational thoughts, you were not screaming on 9/12 a few years back so why now? Either be educated or be quite.

Actually it was the U.N. that imposed those sanctions against Iraq after the Gulf War. The U.S. basically enforced them as part of a coalition of forces. The sanctions were lifted only in part with the U.N's Food for Oil Program. This included medicines. The US forces were the predominant forces enforcing the U.N. sanctions.
Using adversaries to oppose adversaries has been topic of intense study by stategists thoughout history. Doens't matter where they are from, they keep practicing.

We really are. Sanctions had to be imposed. Saddam could have gotten medicine from other sources anyway, but he chose to live filthy rich and let his people suffer. There's no doubt innocent iraqi lives were lost but we are not perfect. We used the most accurate bombs we had, we did not carpet bomb. It was a mistake to go there but we can't leave now for it is turned into somthing bigger. We must see this thru.

The past sanctions were aimed at Saddam Hussein and his regime, who deserved them. Was this an appropriate or effective tactic? You may well ask.
However, the US was not bombing "indiscriminately." The target was terrorists and "insurgents" (Saddam's people). But war is hell, as you may have heard. Not only the bad guys suffer.
If only we could exile bad guys to another dimension, like Superman does.

It is in the interest of Iraqi people to have peace and stability. Past is history. We should pray for peaceful united Iraq. You must remember that long term and short terms policies are framed for keeping its national interest.

No, the people of the United States are not friends with the Iraqi people. To be a "friend" to someone, you have to have something in common. The people of the United States have nothing in common with the Iraqi people.

If your question is "Is USA friends with Iraq"
The answer is NO and why should we be,they blew up our most important building killing over 2,000 ppl.
Then we blow them up then go back and rebuild them..Um i find that stupid of America to do,
And about the deaths of children its war that's what war is, Iraq killed kids of the USA innocent ones, and then when someone in Iraq is sick they come to America for our doctors to treat them..
My opinion STOP THE WAR and Iraq stay there in Iraq and USA stay here...
Hope i answered it right!!

The U.S. is friends to Iraq and helps most any country that needs it. We have already spent 367 billion dollars in trying to help Iraq.
