I have heard of spirit air having air deals that cheap recently to Florida, but most flew out of Detroit. Only a couple out of Chicago. Never heard of a air/hotel package. But some sites make mistakes and your friends father may have happened along on one of those mistakes. I have heard that late at night on Tue/Wed it is possible to find crazy deals like that.
