Cape Town is definately the better place, i was born and grew up in Johannesburg .It is a very busy place and there is constantly something to do,however it really is just a big city and lacks the beautiful scenery that Cape Town has. I moved to Capetown when i was 24 after living in Durban for a few years and i can honestly say that Cape Town has everything. It has fantastic mountains, beaches and an incredible nightlife. The people there have a much more relaxed attitude too. On the whole i have found that the cost of living is about the same in both places.

Johannesburg is the next greatest town in Africa, with more than 3 million people calling this bustling area home and if you intend to visit this remarkable city then that hotelbye is the area to start. Johannesburg presents visitors an experience as special and diverse as the city itself. If you are on business, searching for a social encounter, an adrenaline dash or simply desire to relax and relax for a couple days, the city of Johannesburg has everything you're searching for and more! In Johannesburg you are able to look at the Soweto (an abbreviation for South-western Townships) at 20 kilometres southwest of Johannesburg. This place presents guests a trip in to the heart of the battle for flexibility and the birthplace of the battle for democracy.

Quality of life in Cape Town is great. In the Northern Suburbs not much has changed since 1994 (health care, schools etc. are still very good and new residential & business developments, huge shopping complexes and entertainment areas have been built... roads are in an excellent condition). Everything is working fine and we don't have much to complain about except for an increase in crime off coarse... but it's still much lower than Johannesburg or Pretoria. Violent robberies etc. are quite uncommon here. Cape Town = amazing!

When I was younger, I LOVED JHB. But now, I prefer CT. I think CT is more laid back. So I would say CT.
