I still think the West, but the absence of Steve Nash will hurt the team.

You would have to go with the West. The talent is absurd and the depth is deep. You have the new generation point guard in Chris Paul running the show (only cuz reigning back to back MVP Nash is hurt) and 81 point scorer Kobe in the backcourt. Mr. do it all Kevin Garnett and the ever solid Duncan between a rejuvenated Amare maning the middle (only cuz Yao, whose having his best season ever is injured). Off the bench you have arguably this year's MVP Dirk, the Matrix Marion, and T-Mac! The east has its share of talent but it just seems its a tad below the West talent wise. Not to mention Lebron is recovering and Shaq, just coming back from an injury is fragile beyond belief now.
