Yes!! but now it's more open...like the potential girl/boy meets the families etc..in an informal setting. Parents r most happy when they like each other ,then they get to work on "fixing" the match. In Islam the bride has the right to refuse, during this time a veiled girl can remove her veil for the potential groom. The bride is hennaed for beauty. The woman recieves a ring but most Muslim men do not wear gold bands. They r married in their local mosque by the Imam, the woman must be modestly covered. The marriage contract is signed and states what the groom will give to the bride...the marriage must be witnessed by the public. The bride and groom have a happy life.

Check out WEBSHOTS folks download weddings all the time...it's pretty neat actually.
Just type in the "type" of ceremony you r interested in seeing.

It is the Hindus who may fix a marriage w/o seeing the partner til the wedding day..the groom is often garland w/ a veil covering his face. The movie "Dhadkhan" is a good example of this...but not many people have Akshay Kumar waiting for them on the mandaap!!

Yes.

Fixed is a relative term of course. In some forms are not only muslims. Sometimes some choice is involved sometimes not.

How it feels? Depends on the people involved.

In some places, it unfortunately does happen. however, most muslims don't have fixed marriages (that's fortunate)!!!!!!!!!!!
