You aren't saying the neckline of the dress and that matters a lot sometimes. Since dangling earrings are in and since a prom dress is usually formal....go by how "busy"...the dress is...is it simple, classic and plain...then make the jewelry busier....in otherwords, not so simple.....
But if the dress had a lot of ruffles, or more detail in the design...then keep the jewelrey classic and simple ....
low neckline...fit the necklace to flatter the neckline....try some out...does a v-necklace look best....probably does with a V-neckline....does a choker look best....might if the neckline frames your neck.....
And since this is a dressy occasion use rhinestones, or crystals, etc.....not regular beads which are not so dressy....you want to
"add" to the look of your dress with the jewelry and also consider that whole picture with the purse you carry ...with similar rhinestones on it ....dressy...not leather....also in your watch...or no watch...bracelet, etc.
Think ahead about what flowers you might like so if your date asks you, you have in mind what would go with the outfit....color of the flowers....wrist corsage?...etc. If he doesn't ask, then accept the gift gracefully. Sometimes if you are planning your outfits together, his beutinniere can also match your flowers.

I think a necklace that is close around the neck with a diamond pendant and earrings to match. White gold or silver because it seems softer looking than gold and looks beautiful with pink.

I would wear white gold or sliver but let it have a hint of pink. The shape is hard to tell you as it depends on your dress.

if you have a dark or tan complexion wear silver or white gold .
if you re fair skinned or pale go for pearls .chokers ..
with a matching faux pearl bracelet.
pink goes well with faux diamonds or fux pearls .
if u have the real thing its better .

first of all, can't recover from how suited that costume is! i might certainly decide for black pumps to verify, that is so classic and a superb exchange to ordinary black/white and black/purple. I agree approximately your hair, curled and swept to the element could be gorgeous.

yes...white gold would be my first choice. I would also suggest silver hair peices...(barettes, clips etc.) with crystals. very cute!
