It's not quite so simple. See:

http://www.ehow.com/how_9730_calculate-batting-average.html

If Juan was at bat 36 times and was walked 3 times and hit by pitch once, the three walks and one HBP would not count against his batting average, which would be 14/(36-4).

So, while we can estimate Juan's batting average as 14/36 we really don't have enough information to answer the question.

14/36 can be reduced to 7/18 then take
18 into70 goes 3 times 3 x 18=54 70-14=16
18 goes into 160 8 times 18 x 8= 144 160-144=16
18 goes into 160 8 times 18 x 8=144 160-144=16 etc

he hits an average of 14 out of 36 times, so divide 14/36. the thousandths place is the 3rd one after the decimal.
