married for 17 yrs. last nite I came home fr work and he said he was saving a movie but out of drinks. I suggested a trip to the local store. After sitting in the truck for quiet awhile, me and baby went inside and there he was flirting and laughin with a woman (cashier). I said "What's taking you so long??" and gave him the look. I called him a bad name on the way home, and another after he tried to turn the situation around. Of all the years, I have never disrepected him in that nature. And I thought I should HAVE been treated likewise. That proved me wrong..and I don't see him like I use to anymore.. I am just disgusted and hurt.

I don't think it's right, but from the looks of some of these answers you are getting, I must be way too Conservative for the 21st century! I would tell him if it made me feel bad. Sometimes men just don't realize...Something they see as harmless could be devastating to their wife and they won't know until she says something about it. Also I should point out that it is just as bad to do it behind your spouse's back as it is to do it at their side- I've heard that if it isn't something that you would do in front of your spouse because they wouldn't like it, then you shouldn't do it at all.
On the other hand, if he CHOSE to marry you and is otherwise loving and kind to you, you probably don't have much to worry about. Some people don't even realize that what they are doing could be considered flirting!

Guys like to flirt-why? I don't know. Is this how he has always been around you? It sounds like it would be best to sit down with him and talk about how this bothers you. And that you only have eyes for him. If that doesn't work, I would also suggest that you please consider counseling-for both of you on this. How long have you two been married? Do you ever have a regular time for "date night", or sat morning breakfast out somewhere just the two of you? My dad would occasionally flirt with a saleslady, etc., but he was definitely married to my mom. They truly loved each other, and were there for each other. I wish you the best, take care.

Lots of people flirt. Smart people don't do it in a way that's hurtful or disrespectful to their spouse.
My father loved women. He flattered them all. My mother just rolled her eyes because he wouldn't have cheated on her for the world. If it had bothered my mother, he would have stopped. It's called respect.
So, is he doing it in a way that's hurtful or disrepectful to you? If it is, you need to tell him that. If he doesn't stop..well, castration probably won't do any good, but it might make you feel better.

well i am going to start by asking a question, do you think that he will ever cheat on you, just because if he is flirting with everyone that could mean that you need to watch your man,or that could mean that he is just a flirty guy and that you have nothing to weary about.so you pick which one it is.you be the judge

yeah , and right after he takes the brunt of that procedure, maybe he can require you to have a lobotomy for the part of your brain which is way too inflated in the ego department.

Why the anger? Is it his flirting the problem or your own insecurity?
