Which historical subject or event deserves to be explored and written about?

I've gone to the bookstore and noticed something. Many books are about nearly the same subject. I can't tell you how many books I've seen concerning World War 2, not that there's anything wrong with that. Which historical subject or event is being overlooked and deserves a chance to be told?
