I need to know at what height a stick should be to make the board it will be supporting stay slanted at 39 degrees. Please help!

It depends on how long the board is...so let's say the board is x units long.

You need to find a scientific calculator and do this.

Stick height = (sin 39)x

where x is the long of your board

You didn't give enough information but what you can do is take some of the equations and still work it out.
You did not specify the length of the board to be supported at a 39 degree angle. The board will be the hypotneuse of the triangle.

Calculate sin(39degrees) or look it up.
sin(39degrees) = 0.6293
If the board to be held up at a 39 degree angle is 1 foot (unit radius) then the stick needs to be
1 foot * 0.6293 = 0.6293 feet = 7.5516 inches

It completely depends on how long the board is. Remember to use a^2 + b^2 = c^2.
