Perhaps because they are Democrats. Typical, cut and run tactics. We can either stay and force change in the Middle East or stick our heads in the sand and ignore a growing problem. I have a counter question.. How are u going to prevent a Terrorist State such as Iran from Fed Ex a Nuclear Device to a Population center in this Country and Detonating it?? That is what u had better think about.. My guess is if we don't get a handle on this problem now 10 years minimum, they will make their move.. There is a World of really BAD people out there that HATE the Infidels and want them wiped from the Planet. You just have NO Idea!! Been there, seen it.

Congress does not have the power to stop Bush from deploying troops to Iraq. What this was all about was to try and get Republicans to side with the Democrats on the escalation of the war. Also, the Democrats wanted the Congress and the President to know how many people in this country did not support the escalation. The big vote will be when Congress votes on whether to give Bush the extra $93 million he needs to finance this escalation.
The Democrats have not failed they are working hard and furious on alot of extremely important issues and need the people's support. Contact your US Senator and Representative and let them know you are behind them.

There is yet considerable confusion even within the Congress over this mess that we are in---- you have many still believing that to Not support what is going on is somehow unAmerican---and THIS is what the current administration has BANKED on from word one on this issue !!

Glad they did, we can't back out now. Going was a mistake but it's much bigger now. We have to finish this for there's bigger fish coming up to fry. We need to get the iraq nation going, stable, and they must pay us back somehow for all the money we spend doing it. Not to mention loss lives.

Don't worry. It's just a non binding resolution. The big push will come when they cut off funding.
