It, quite often, is a sign of uncontrolled jealousy (which, to answer your question, is a choice (not a disease) but the kind of choice that can generate into an addiction, in the same way alcoholism can).
People don't like giving away credit for wealth and having the best talent and when another race threatens that they tend to pick on that race to eliminate competition that might beat them.
Racism is the social equivalent of the economic act of forming a monopoly (and anti-discriminatory laws are much like antitrust laws).
Think about it,
1. When the Jews were rich Hitler blamed Jews for Germany's economic downfall.
2. As women become more educated many men bosses seek more excuses not to promote them
3. In the time of the Cambodian revolution only the "race/culture informed" adults (who, unlike the kids, knew enough about history to know the dictator was corrupt) were killed because they were the only ones who knew enough about the government to be competitive enough to overthrow it.
4. As soon as basketball was desegregated blacks suddenly dominated the sport...and baseball, when desegragated, became much (though not nearly as much) dominated by blacks....whites had reason to try and single them out to "guard their supremacy", even though singling them out was neither productive nor fair for the sports industry.
People who don't like to be called losers when they lose often resort to racism instead of being honest with themselves.

Racism is no more a disease than any other criminal act is. Racism, like a lot of crime, stems from the inability, through insecurity or by personal choice, to compete on a socially level playing field.
if you can't play by the rules, get out of the stadium.

a million. To be honest, we probably all be afflicted through dissimilar stages of psychological ailment yet oftentimes use that label for persons that exceed the socially perfect volume of psychological ailment. 2. particular, it is a barrier and that i imagine of the point for both aspects is to shame the otherside into replacing positions. That technique does paintings and has been used on those who smoke. It use to be cool to smoke, now smoking has very a lot shrink using shame generated through way of non-those who smoke. (i substitute into lower than no circumstances a smoker, yet I actually have referred to the smoking existence form has replaced) i do now no longer comprehend that each and each and absolutely everyone is calling for self-congratulatory justification as a lot as venting frustration on the otherside. you've christians who're annoyed about atheist now no longer seeing what they see and also you've were given atheists annoyed about christians now no longer seeing what they see. it fairly is all interesting to me that we stay interior the similar global with the similar adventure, yet we may be able to interpret those comments in such contrasting procedures.

No it is a choice in later years and just up bringing in the early years. In your later years (past 18-20) it is a choice and only the person that is this way can take the blame.

People who are racist are just uneducated.
I think you'd have to have something mentally wrong with you to join a racist group (the KKK for example); because logically even if they believe in their bs it wouldnt be worth the trade off of the effect it would have on their life (social status, career, etc.)

No, it has to do with where you grew up, and the decisions of people around you. But this is really a question of nature vs. nurture. It could be eaither. It could be both.
