I got ur question and i considered myself in your shoe. Well, a true friend is a loyal one in ups and downs of life and is their to correct you whenever you made a mistake, he didnt tolerate yoor wrong doings but show you the way how to correct it in a rational way. Though you have many friends around, but only very few of 1 or 2 stick to you and will grow old with you.That is the person who will not put you in shame but will defend you to others...

You never can know... honestly. Some people are pathological liars, and are never honest, and stab you in the back even though they were there for you whenever you needed them. I don't even care to have *friends* any more. I have people who I talk to, but I wouldn't call them a friend by any means. Sometimes I think complete strangers do better than friends actually will for you.

I think it is hard to find out who your friends are because they don't really show themselves to be true (or false) unless there's some adversity. If individuals show themselves not to be a true friend, I figure I outlasted my usefulness to them. They were only in the "friendship" while it afforded them some level of personal gain.
In any case, if people in which you have placed your trust fail you -- you have your answer.

true friends are the ones who care, share and trust u, thay are always understandable and cool to hang out with, someone who likes u because of u, and don't let ur friend push u over

If you want to know if your friends are good people, then here is my opinion.
#1 If you smoke and your friends suggest you to stop, then they're good.
#2 If you get drunk frequently and your friends suggest you to stop, then they're good friends.
#3 If you get drunk and your friends restrict you from driving, then they're good friends.
#4 If your friends remember you on your birthday without you having to remind them, then they're good friends.
#5 If your friends watch your back and also tell you that you were wrong from the first place, then they're good friends.
#6 If your friends encourage you to work out complications with your intimate partner rather than suggesting you to break up, then they're good friends.
#7 If your friends visit your house regularly instead of occasionally, then they're good friends.
#8 If your friends keep you updated on any changes, then they're good friends.
#9 If you are always invited to your friends participation, then they're good friends.
#10 If you are short financially and your friends contribute, then they're good friends.
The limit time to tell who your friends are is untold. It takes some up to 10 years to figure who his/her friend is, while it takes some one week...
