If you are using internet explorer then:
select "tools"
then "internet options"

there should be a tab near the bottom which says "clear history"
pretty simple huh?

However, if you truly wish for your internet tracks to be gone, then you should also select the "Delete files tab"

For a more thorough erasing of internet history, and for better privacy in general, I recommend downloading "Free Internet Eraser" from the following link.

http://www.download.com/Free-Internet-Eraser/3000-2144_4-10603306.html?tag=lst-0-1

just click download and then "run" to install.

Hope I helped

Move your cursor over the top of the internet icon your main page where all of your short cuts to your various programs are listed. Right click on the shortcut for internet icon. A menu will be displayed. The second item will be "Internet Properties. Left click on "Internet Properties" an another menu will come up. Go down to the Heading labeled " Browsing History" Select "delete" and a list will come up. The Main Heading will say Delete Browsing History in the blue backround. Move you cursor down to the third block on the right labeled " Delete History". You will select Delete History. Another menu will pop up and ask you Are you sure you want to delete history of web sites visited and select yes and your history will be removed. You will see in the backround a cousor running in a box fro right to left just signifing that your history is being ersaed. Then Selet close at the bottom when the function has completed. Then select ok at the bottom of the next screen. All off your history will be erased. Good luck.

did u try clearing the history in tools -> internet options?
also u can keep the days to zero in the history.
one other thing is delete all temporary internet files and cookies.
on the standard tool bar of the Internetexplorer window u have the history button, click on it. the window u get on the left side shows u all the site u visited in the last week. delete the sites from there also. that way u can clear all history.

Clear History / Clear Autocomplete

Tools
Internet Options
Clear Cookies
Delete Files (offline)
Clear History
set days to keep pages in history to 0
There is a downside: When you delete cookies, some programs or goodies you downloaded may or may not work, pictures may or may not become X’s the next time you open the file, etc.
It’s your choice to make.
You can also:
Click Contents tab: now click the content tab, click to clear auto complete, click to clear forms.
Where it says use autocomplete, uncheck all the things you dont want your browser to store. This way you won’t have to keep going back and clearing things out.

In Internet Options, click clear history. Also, click on delete files (those are the internet files or the sites that you have been on) and also click on delete cookies. That will delete all the offline internet content or the history!

Hope this helps!!

Go to tools at the top of your browser, then select internet options, on the first screen it should say clear history, click that and they're gone........ You may also want to delete your cookies and your temp files - all on that same page. Good luck...

You can't completely delete it. There is always a way to find it, but that way is not that easy. So if you just delete it you are probably fine. You get into your history and right click on what you want to delete and select delete.

delete cookies and all internet files
BUT that just erases the "visible history" from your browser...a computer tech can find the history it is never completely erased unless you destroy the motherboard.
