1. Shakugan no Shana= which by the way, ranked 5th on TV Asashi's top 100 anime of 2006... a very good anime if you love action, romance and comedy interwoven... a GREAT plot, i assure you...
2. Deathnote= also in the top 10 rank... although a bit gory... no, it is gory...^^... the plot rivals that of the show, CSI... a BRILLIANTLY thought out series...
3. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge= a really funny story that includes the trasformation of an "ugly" girl into a real woman...^^ made me holler on the first episode...^^
4. Ouran Highschool Host Club= haruhi, a girl, is being manipulated by men who are members of a famous "host club"... this anime is CRACKA-licious...^^
5.The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya= ranked 3rd on the list... a funny story that involves a "truth" that would change your views on the world... nah, just kidding! ^^... really, the main character's way of manipulating others for her own discretion is HIGHLY amusing...^^ be careful of the episodes though... the order in w/c you should be watching it are as follows: 2, 3, 5, 10, 13, 14, 4, 7, 6, 8, 1, 12, 11 and 9... please follow this order if you don't want to be confused...^^
6. Bleach= amazing displays of soul slayers really do astound any viewer... and the characters are HOT!!! top 7 on the TV asashi list
7.Naruto= a really funny epic... try it... i'm sure you'll get addited in no time... also in the top 100
8. Full Metal Alchemist= ranked 1st on TV Asashi's top 100 of 2006... splendid array of alchemy... enough to make one;'s mouth agape...^^
9.Prince of Tennis= the adrenaline just keeps going on this show...
10. La corda d' oro= music speaks the depths of the soul or so, so...

Ur best bet is Naruto. Watch it on youtube. It's the greatest anime out there at the time, runner up is Bleach.
