Um - got her whole mortal life ahead of her? I say, good on her for wholeheartedly checking out her options, and highlighting other choices.
Most people only ever know one code, and that's imposed on them by bullies, with penalties if they default. She's availing of her civic liberties, exploring the information available - and why shouldn't she?
What if she did shave her head? Is it now, or has it ever been, a crime to explore your personal religious freedom so obviously? Are fundamentalists so easily disturbed? Is it now a condition of North American citizenship that yours can be revoked if you don't [con]form to the expectations of voters? If so, the obvious next step is to kill off her family, or send them to a colony. But that's been done ... all through history. Which is why - oh, forget it!
