I like various quotes from Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, Case Closed and the various DragonBall series but I think my favorite is from the Anime version of Fullmetal Alchemist. It is said by Dante to Edward in one of the last episodes. She says(I will try to find the quote) that Equivalent Exchange does not exist, citing the fact that when a Baby is born it gives nothing to gain, it also does nothing to warrant death, yet it can be killed easily or it can be cared for. Either way it is not because it gave something (at least not tangibly) in exchange.
