I don't know how to prevent them, but I can tell you how to get rid of the ones you have. Take a q-tip and put some rubbing alcohol on there, and do it on the sore at night before you go to bed. It does sting, but it should be gone by morning!

I have the perfect answer... you know when that burning tingleing you get when it first starts coming??? Put some ban roll on, or Mitchum roll on deoderant beleive it or not, there is a chemical in it that drys up the "ulcer" before it can grow and get open and hurt.

If you have one now, put Neo Sporine with pain reliever on it several times a day to prevent pain, scarring or infection..Be sure to get ointment, not the cream there is a huge difference and the cream does not work.... that is it, you will never have the problem again... tell everyone you know that has them, I have, and many people have called me and thanked me over and over again.

It can be caused by the chicken pox virus you had as a child, stress makes them occur more often and hormones can irritate them too. So now that they are occuring more and more, try to get rid of stress by walking to relieve the stress or working out, and keep the neosporine with pain releiver in your pocket, if you can keep one in your purse, car, desk, nightstand and breifcase
and for the liquid deoderant, I cut the rollerball out with a bread knife and I pour a small amount into a tiny plastic bottle I got at the container store and marked it with a Sharpie pen Toxin,RX...so I know what it is, and anyone else snooping wont drink it... well I hope not...good luck

The dr just wrote me a script for a "Magic Cocktail" yesterday. The pharmacist mixed it. It is equal parts of benedryl, mylanta and lidocaine. You gargle and spit it out. It coats and numbs canker sores. You can also just do equal parts benedryl and mylanta at home. I don't think I would try rubbing alcohol. Ouch!
