You know there are US presidents throughout history who are "known" for what they've achieved in office and there are those "forgotten" presidents. George Bush Jnr will certainly be remembered however I don't think his rememberance by the people of the world would be something he'd like to have on his grave stone. As an outsider looking in on the United States, it's hard to believe that this man was kept in power for a second term. In saying that, his election campaigners were very good at instilling fear into the American people and I really believe that's why he was re-elected. Realistically, he'll be remember for Iraq. The trouble is, yes, Sadam Hussein is gone but is Iraq any better off, economically, socially, spiritually? Now, someone else, Republican or Democrat. has to come into power and try and find a solution to the mess that's been created. I don't envy that individual. I could think of no job on the planet worse than that at the moment.
It seems to me that George Jnr gained office, went to war and has spent the last 3 years trying to legitimise his actions. Don't get me wrong, our own Prime Minister John Howard, has been a good little puppet along the way for George Bush and despite all the economic achievements of his govt during his time in office, I believe he will mostly be remember for exactly that, being George Bush's puppet. Although there has been impact here in Australia, I believe the impact that this war has had on the Amercian people is so much higher, not only financially but on the lives of young American soldiers and their families.
On a completely seperate note of course, he'll be the American President that ignored global warming, despite the evidence. Again, John Howard follows his lead! Again, as the situation worsens around the world, someone else will have to come in and deal with the situation. Company profits and a nations economy taking priority over the situation of our environment is both foolish and short sighted.

I think he's the worst president we've ever had. We can only go up from here, no matter who gets elected next.

first of all, i think he is a complete failure as president. he is way to religious...church and state are supposed to be separate remember. also, he completely screwed up in iraq, where he should not have even been butting his stupid head anyways. plus, he has some of weirdest policies ever.

I basically think he is one of the worst people ever. How could you sleep at night knowing all those people have died because of a war trumped up?
