I think it will depend upon which path he takes. If he resigns, he will probably go into hiding for a while, like Nixon did but eventually he will crawl out from under his rock or hoist himself up from his spider-hole and rejoin those who can stand to be in his presence. Nixon managed a few things - but nothing important.
If he refuses to resign, he will be impeached and kicked out of office..... The first president in history to do that. While he may stick his head out of the hole once in a while, there may not be many to see. It is a shameful thing. Impeachment also means he could be tried for treason.....and criminal acts.
When that day comes that a few of his fellow Repubs make that walk to the Oval Office and tell him it is all over, if he has any brains at all, he will resign.

President Bush will do much like President Clinton has and write a book, make tons of money speaking and live happily ever after for the most part. AS to his intelligence well didn't he graduate with similar grades as Sen John Kerry? Never met Pres Bush but did meet Pres Clinton once, I thought he would have made a fine shyster lawyer if he had been so inclined. Smooth as silk but a bit"slimy" for lack of a better term. Not that I didn't vote for him but that's because I failed to see a better choice, I mean Bob Dole as president? I would not vote for Al Gore either, just not the man for the job in my view.

He will go to speak if he is invited and wishes to do so. He still has friends and is highly respected by many. He has a right to body guards for a prescribed amount of years after he leaves office. If you can, watch him the day he leaves the White House after he is replaced by the incoming president. He will probably increase in height by 2 inches when all the load he is carrying is off.

what? you have the poor chap impeached or leaving office? he's got a year left in office as of january 1st, 2007. he'll leave when his term is finished like the rest of the former presidents. a job after office or is there life after being president? you bet! most presidents are offered lucrative jobs after leaving office. speaking engagements often net over $25k for less than an hour's work. the only former presidents who do not work are those who chose not to (for whatever reasons). they also get a sweet retirement package. you, my child, cut our fearless leader to the quick, too fast. lighten up & smell those donuts & coffee. american donuts & coffee!

There are actually a lot of people love him. Millions conservative will continue to make him feel smart and presidential.
But, majority of the country and the rest of the world will mark him as the biggest failure of US politics.
I may be a lefty, but what I say could very well be the truth.

Yes, I'm going to nominate him for Official Javelin Catcher for the National and Olympic teams. I'm sure many people will come just to watch him and give him a silent sitting-ovation!
I've also lined up a few hunting trips for him and Cheney! Heheheh... and I've extended a special invitation to Rumsfeld, too! I'm sure that Slick Willy is in some corner laughing and guffawing away!
He might even have crowds in some tiny latrine just dying to hear what he says!

Sorry demi but he won't be impeached like your president was. Guess you'll just have to live with your people being the ones who get impeached.

He's not curious, intelligent or interested enough to WANT to go anywhere, so he will just keep clearing brush down in Crawford and die a happy man.

Well, apparently he and his Moonie friends are buying up a bunch of land over a large aquifer in South America...where there's no extradition treaty.
Ha.
