This is era of feminism..
Means, as a result of Industrial revolution and development of media. Woman are made to take part is business, politics, media etc. Obviously they had to sacrify their familiy life to make their careers, which resulted in broker families. This absence of family life had drastical effect on US/Europe society.
Now as a reaction..Some may happen or may be already started to happen.
People are slowly realizing that woman should look after family and stay at home. This is not men who started realizing. But among woman there is strong feeling that their more natural and biological role is looking after family and this feeling continues to grow.
I think its difficult fot you to believe that this is really happening. One such effect is more woman are converting to Islam despite the fact that Islam is generally precieved as an constrain to woman freedom

Yes, unfortunately the answers you have received so far are indeed representative of a segment of the population. I know you could have found this yourself BUT it seems that the information, like the concept itself, remains hazy. There are some links which may prove worthwhile.
"Like feminism, Post-feminism (or postfeminism) is not a uniform object either in practice or discourse. The term first entered into American usage in the early 1980s, initially signifying backlash over second-wave feminism. The term now denotes a wide range of theories, some of which argue that feminism is no longer relevant to today's society."
EDIT:
A wonderful source is the Stanford [University] Encyclopedia of Philosophy. Their main page is below. The second location provides you with with recently archived scholarlly information expanding on 'feminism'.

Saigon Bob, you are joking right. Is it wrong for an Australian female to have some intelligence, and choose wisely her mate, unlike in a lot of parts of Asia. Australia is a happier place most definitely, with the women over the years have released themselves from living under thumb. Why do you think Asian women advertise overseas for a marriage, to get away from the short falls they have to put up with currently.

Ever heard of this phrase"The feast is laid lets get into a frenzied orgy"
Post feminism is a synonym of "post mortem of real man" who was laid to rest by the end of 20th century.
Now the modern female rejoices with the spoils of war.
However in this war there were no winners only losers.
History has a strange and uncanny way of repeating itself and time now has come for the male to give up outdated notions of chivalry, old useless perceptions of women.
Its time to give them a taste of their own medicine laced with cyanide.

"A position which argues that the condition of women ‘after’ the successes of the 1960s and 1970s wave of feminist struggles means they can take for granted respect and equality and enjoy the pleasures and playfulness around traditional ‘femininity’."
