If the printer is not more then five years, you could most likely get from the manufacture web site. under support, drivers

You normally can go to the website of the printer and dl the software for the printer and you will be up and going again.

Have you tried connecting the printer to another usb connection onto the computer? Connecting it to another USB can make windows re-install the printer drivers, as this may well fix the problem.

If it is a hp model you can type the model number in at www.hp.com to get the driver free. If it is another company you need to contact them and find out how to do that. =o) Good luck!
