With all the movies coming out lately based on comics, such as Ghost Rider, Blade, Superman, etc., who is being overlooked and deserves their moment in the sun. Here's your chance to make your case.

The Sandman - the Neil Gaiman version from Vertigo Comics.

I think that would be an excellent series as it involves everything from Angels and Demons, Cain and Abel, to Bast, Loki, and other Gods from old pantheons, small appearances and cameos from the standard DC universe such as Batman and Superman, Oa, Rao, Sol (the consciousness of those stars significant to the Green Lantern, Krypton and Earth respectively in the DC universe, etc.,... It does a great job of linking everything neatly together.

It is an extreamly well written storyline that won him:
1- Favorite Comic Writter 1991-1993, Favorite Comic Story 1991, 1994 from the comics buyers guide
2- World Fantasy Award for Short Fiction 1991
(the rules were changed after he won and he is the only writer to have ever won the award for a comic book)

The hard thing would be the fact that it would be expensive. Really expensive to produce from a special effects standpoint. I also think the scope of the story is to big for the silver screen - it would have to be a series but I wonder how well it would be received by a TV audience.

I think it would be awesome though - its one of my favorite stories.

Captain America because he is the ultimate superhuman and he is a legendary character. This generation hasn't given him any love and they need to.
