Romney -- but it's far from a sure thing. Two advantages he has:
1) He's very likely to win the NH primary since he is governor of a nearby state (MA).
2) He has a winning track record. He has proven he can beat Democrats even in the most liberal state, so he could carry that state in the final election. I can't imagine any other Republican that could win Massachusetts.
The news media would have us believe non-Mormons wouldn't vote for him -- that's silly.

I am afraid that the best guy to win the big race can't win the Primary. I'd love to have John McCain, but Mitt or Rudy will get it. Neither of them could defeat the Democrats.

Condi Rice could have it if she wants it. Since it is looking like she doesn't want it I would say Tommy Thompson is going to be the dark horse candidate. REAL republicans don't think of Rudy or McCain as republicans. Tommy is about a much of a mainstream Reganesque candidate as any

The problem is, the person who will win the republican primary has not yet declared his decision to make a bid for the Presidency. Those who have thrown their hats in will not be chosen. So I can't say yet...................!

I don't hink the republican party can come up with a canidate this year that can win the presidental election. Mr. Nader is trying to put his two cents worth in to help the republicans but he is a joke.I'm not worried about any one in the republician party, i'm certain we will have a democractic president come next year.

I think Guillani is too liberal on social issues & McCain too much of a maverick to appeal to the party's base. I look for a more conservative candidate like Sam Brownback to gain traction & win.

I believe the right will try to recisitate Guliani's 9/11 cred, once again the fear thing, the 'scare ya' vote.
Sorry though, DNR.
