how can we accept our ugliness?

First ask this question. Is there a set person out there that has the authority to determine who is ugly and who is not. The answer is no. It is all a matter of opinion. As far as accepting that persons opinion that is on you. Why listen to others?

Now if you are referring to a persons personality or character, that is different.

You can take the feel good answers that say that ugliness does not exists, or you can learn acceptance. Do you not think that those born without arms and legs have much more to accept, yet many of them do. Your looks are a part of you , but they are not all of you. So, be a good person and do the best you can with what you have. Or, perhaps you were just generalizing. In that case; plastic surgery or the philosophy section.

Fact from fiction, truth from diction. What is called "ugliness" can come in 2 forms; personality and physical. If you have physical features you feel are ugly because they do not measure up to what Madison Avenue say is beauty. Remember that when ever you looked in a magazine and seen a dress critics panned as one of the worse gowns on the runway. Two people liked it; the designer who made it, and the woman who was blasted for wearing it. Pretty is in the eye of the beholder, beauty comes from the soul. That is why you don't love a woman because she is beautiful, she is beautiful because you love her. You may feel you are not where you want to be in looks, or that all other men don't either. But just remember the Brittneys, Shakiras, Angalinas, have on a good deal of makeup. And you have to wonder why? Somewhere out there, someone is waiting for you to walk by and he will not be able to get you from his mind. Has not happened yet, but it will. Trust me.

There is no such thing as ugliness. People create it by assuming that people are more beautiful than others. Love yourself and love others. The beauty is what is in the soul. People get old and looks fade eventually, looks arn't everything. If you think u are ugly, its not because that u are, its a thing that affects alot of people, low self asteem. Thats what creates ugliness. People come in all different, shapes, sizes and colours. If people don't want to like you for who you are then they arn't worth your time. I hope that helps : )

i don't think anyone is ugly, but some ppl just dont live up to mainstream society's standard of beauty.

i think we all reach a point where we stop trying to conform to that standard of beauty, let go and accept ourselves. its usually that point when you're tired of trying to change and not being yourself completely, where you feel fake and you start to realize you don't know who you truly are or what's unique about you.

i now find flaws, and different looking ppl to be beautiful. its amazing how i can see beauty in things and people that i was blind to my whole life.
