My favourite is a kind of dark red/orange dress with little cream kind of flower-sprigs on it. It's a really swingy tunic-type dress that comes down to about 6 inches over my knees. I love it because I've had it for 13 years, and it was one of the first items of clothing that I bought for myself out of money that I earned. I can wear it in the summer as it is, or over a vest, and in the winter over a long-sleeved top and tights or jeans. I've never seen anyone else in it, or anything similar. I love the fabric- it's colour, pattern and weight, and it just feels really really me, and I always feel good when I wear it. It isn't fashionable, and has never been fashionable, which to me means it's timeless.

It has a moth hole right on the front now, which I can't really sew up or patch but I wear big beads with it and hope noones notices. It's big and swingy enough to wear as a maternity dress too, which I will do, and when it falls apart I'll sew all the pieces into a bag or a cushion cover, so I've at least still got the material.

Sorry to go on for hours about my dress! I hadn't thought about why I like it so much before- that's such a good question. Gonna go and put it on now!

I bought a mid length dress from a sale it starts a lighter blue at the neck-line and as it goes down it goes really dark,it has an under skirt but i took that out i alsoi used a fabric paint that had silver bits in it and traced a patten onto the bottom and brought the pattern up the dress less and less. i wear it over trousers in the summer as the material is very thin and it makes me cool.I got it over 4 yrs ago and it was my best buy as i only paid £2.50.

My Seven for All Mankind jeans, they make my butt and hips look fabulous (which is tough let me tell you) and they look like great tailored trousers that are the perfect length (another toughie, I'm a tall drink of water); and they were my first purchase when I felt I was financially solvent, and if I wanted a pair of $180 jeans, dammit I could get one, no explanations needed...

i love every item of clothing i own, but my favourite is my Lucky pair of earrings which ive had for 3 years now, there not something that special but when ever i wear them i always get good luck, and everythings goes absolutely fabulous! they are these small-medium sized hoops, with several tiny little pink beads mixed with pinkish silvery ones and small white ones. and they always make my skin tone look drop dead gorgeous and it looks just fab with my favourite pink blush! A mottled cream coloured woolly jumper that has no shape left and a big hole somewhere at the back of my neck. Had it for years, it's comfy and warm. And you can't see the hole when i have a coat on :-)
