No, If you are waiting till voting day to make an informed decision than you shouldn't be voting anyway. If you follow each candidate and choose the one that you believe that will do the best job for the U.S.A. than why would you need a whole day off of work to simply vote. If it is important to you as it should be, use your time wisely, prioritize, and anticipate that there may be a wait but just do it. It is your right as a U.S. citizen. Why we we need to have time off or get paid for time off to vote?

The UAW already did make election day a holiday, complete with pay. Neo-con conservative right wing anti-American slave wage exploitation pukes, like the Republican party, would lose too much money giving a working man or woman the day off without a Union to force them to. Bush and his cronies got a plan for the Unions too, soon as they finish looting Congress.

Election day is the 1st Tuesday in November in an election year. that's not consistently on the 4th. that's not that confusing to vote. i desperate i did no longer decide to stand in line for hours. I sent my pollwithin the mail. I purely desire it does not get "misplaced". human beings take ruin day for well-being practitioner appointments, trip days, own days, etc. there is not any excuse to no longer vote. Had I no longer voted absentee, i'd have taken the day without work, nonetheless. OBAMA/BIDEN '08 whether it have been a countrywide trip, no longer each physique would have the day without work. ought to each thing be close down so as that persons can vote? What purpose would that serve? each physique is going to decide to save, purchase gas, use public transportation, bypass to the scientific institution, etc. purely get out and vote. it relatively is performed.

Well a half day anyway. That will take in early morning voters who otherwise would head home after work for food , having to prepare supper for the family, or rest after an exhausting day on the job.., or food shopping and/or picking up kids. Yep, shut down everything for that purpose I say. Good question.

How much time does an informed American need to vote, the law already provides time off from work to vote, Just what we need, more holidays, more lost time, more excuses for the American businessman to go off shore to get decent workers, manage your time better............

Yes, and we should pay people to vote. We should either make voting a lot easier or a whole lot harder.
