no, they are not mammals, they are fish.

as others said ...sharks are not mammals and must obsorb oxygen from the water through its gills . The shark must constantly swim forward to breath basically............never stops. A mammal such as a dolphin or whale both have a blow hole located at the top of their heads to surface and take breaths of air , like ourselves.
