I'd have to say Revolver. George Harrison finally got to show up in all his glory (Taxman), and the band was better for it musically, Paul found melody (Eleanor Rigby), and John finally revealed the pissed off persona that eventually made him legend (Dr. Robert).

I agree with you both. Rubber Soul (Dec 65) sounds totally different from any other previous "pop" albums. Then, Revolver (Aug 66) sounds totally different from Rubber Soul, too. In the 65-66 time period, they must have been growing rapidly as musicians.

Yeah, I agree with Revolver; but I think also Rubber Soul.

I think Taxman was superb. I can't think why though.
