Taxes goes to the common fund of the government including those that are spent for drug rehabilitation clinics. Thus, taxpayers are directly financing the drug users for the rehabilitation and it is more reason that the campaign against drugs must be institutionalized so that taxes will be spent for other beneficial projects.

All public hospitals are funded by taxpayers. If the rehab clinic is affiliated with one, and the patient is not covered by insurance/ can't afford to pay, then yes, the taxpayers pay.

Add: Referencing the above post about crack babies, I would rather invest $10,000 in drug rehab for the mother than $250,000 for treating her crack-addicted baby.

I think most of the time if that person still has a job their employer/insurance sends them. Its illegal to fire them for using drugs outside of work, drug addiction can be considered a disability. At least this is what Ive heard. It might vary from state to state.

Medicaid might pay for a little but people on drugs rarely have the capacity to go out and apply for health benefits. Look up the medicaid laws and you can find out.

It prices on undemanding $17,000 a three hundred and sixty 5 days to pay for a newborn to bypass to school in a public ecosystem. once you're paying more beneficial than that in taxes a three hundred and sixty 5 days, then certain bypass ahead and whinge. yet do not ignore to count number police taxes, firemen taxes, street taxes, etc. Your money, when you're not any further a severe earner, would not fairly count number for much. till you're wealthy, end complaining. And illegals do pay taxes, no longer all of them yet some do.

Tax money goes to the tune of over $250,000 per baby to keep premature crack baby alive. After these babies live a few weeks, we reward the crack mother by giving her money (SSI-federal money) to care for this crack baby that will probably never become a productive adult.
