Excellent photography, terrific theme song, shows us all how USA will always save the world - hoh, hum. Top of the list for cheese but just for once, Tom Cruise seemed right for the part. Whatever happened to Kelly McGillis, thought she was great! The sequel may well have bombed so perhaps it is just as well it was cancelled.

Sure it seems cheesy now but when it first came out, I loved it! I remember sitting in a packed theatre and when the volleyball scene started, there was a collective gasp from all the women in the audience.

Yes really cheesy there was no chemistry between Tom Cruise and the leading lady (forgotten her name) it could have been much better.

tis a cheesy film but also a classic!!! i love it!! actually got round to buying it the other week, been meanin to for ages and finally saw it!! i dont thinks its the best cheesy film, i think that would go to dirty dancing or especially ghost!!!!!
