Shouldn't we deserve to get married even without a stable job?
Shouldn't we deserve to travel even without a bit of saving?
Shouldn't we deserve a good education even without money?
Shouldn't we deserve to eat and live even without money?
Shouldn't we deserve to be happy just because we are human?

It seems like our life and situations in life are totally controlled by money. Aren't we being too artificial and superficial?

What are your thoughts? And is it possible to change this way of thinking and be more liberal and free and fair?

Deserve means to be worthy of or to merit.
The situation into which you are born is really the "luck" of the draw (some religions call it "karma"). If you were starving in some refugee camp in Somalia or dodging bullets in any number of places around the world (Afghanistan, Iraq...), would you "deserve" that? (Would you even have the "luxury" of thinking of this question?)
I truly believe that the safer, more secure, healthier, better educated and, yes, wealthier (materially, spiritually or however you want to count it) a person is, the greater is that individual's responsibility to help those less fortunate than him/herself.

it sounds like "deserve" means to have something and not work for it. "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch," should be coming back to you about now.

marriage is not controlled by money. i know people who travel a lot and don't have huge bank accounts. a good education is not bought ... just listen to all the politicians that "bought" their Ivy League educations. Life is not about money and if it is, then you get what you deserve... unsatisfaction.

fair is getting rewarded for good and punishment for bad. thank goodness that all life is not fair. i'll take the reward for both good and bad.

who's the judge anyway? it's not you or me, so I'll take grace and forgiveness over justice any day.

Life isn't really fair at all. So the answer to all those questions is no unfortunately, except the last one... money has nothing to do with happiness.

History has shown that those with the wealth get all those things. That's the way it is. Even in nature, the lion that can chase down it's prey is less likely to be hungry... you have to work at something to get something.

air and a spot to take a dump............which is not to say anyone deserves food.............seems to me social contract is what we use to enhance what we deserve............I am being too glib. I would say we deserve what we are able to obtain with the constrains of the social/ political/economic contract we live in. I disagree we are totally controlled by money, but money is right up there. I think most of what you talk about you have to extrapolate from the social contract, or you can try subsistance living.

I believe that in a fair and equitable society there is a ground floor that consists of the four freedoms. I also believe that it is the duty of a government to provide universal health coverage. It a person wants more then he can work for it and enjoy its benefits relatively unrestricted.

When I was placed in my mothers womb by the seed of my father they became joint providers in agreement for me to live, likewise many others have come to life this way.that has not changed. and to bring me here into this world without continued provision is thus a statement of abandonment on the part of the society for which I grew within and who took the place of my mothers womb . think again...

'We have invented happiness,'say the last men, and they blink. They have left the regions where it was hard to live, for one needs warmth. One still loves one's neighbor and rubs against him, for one needs warmth...
One still works, for work is a form of entertainment. But one is careful lest the entertainment be too harrowing. One no longer becomes poor or rich: both require too much exertion. Who still wants to rule? Who obey? Both require too much exertion.
No shepherd and one herd! Everybody wants the same, everybody is the same: whoever feels different goes voluntarily into a madhouse.
'Formerly, all the world was mad,' say the most refined, and they blink...
One has one's little pleasure for the day and one's little pleasure for the night: but one has a regard for health.
'We have invented happiness,' say the last men, and they blink."

from Nietzsche's Thus spoke Zarathustra, p.3,4,5, Walter Kaufmann transl.

You're right that we obsess about money and stuff too much, but you're wrong about what we deserve.

None of us actually DESERVES anything. Everything we have, has to be earned by somebody.

We deserve all those things you mentioned but no one can provide them for us except ourselves.Material things are needed to provide these needs for survival...eternal bliss...happiness could be of charge.Look at th eworld around us..aren´t we the reasons for the happiness of other people..aren´t nature giving us the serene spirit to feel our importance?
