Im having trouble phrasing my question, but there is this game on neopets that sorta has you view the position of the moon in order to guess the moon phase seen.

New moon- Black
Waxing crescent- Curved sliver on right
First quarter- Right half of moon
Waxing gibbous- Most of moon on right side
Full moon- Entire moon visible
Waning gibbous- Most of moon on left side
Last quarter- Left half of moon
Waning crescent- Curved sliver on left
Might not be the names used in the game, but those are the scientific labels. Just remember:
Right=Waxing(growing)
Left=Waning(diminishing)

Look under Google or Yahoo images and type in Phases of the moon and that will bring up pictures that show the phases.
