I have the free avg product that is downloaded offline. I have had it for a year or so but a few days ago I started getting a message whenever I would turn on the computer that it will expire soon. I don't pay for it and understood it to be unlimited so why is it saying that? Does anyone else get these messages? Can I just go to download.com and re download avg ? I know that's more than one question, lol. Thanks for any help.

AVG is just upgrading to a new version. Starting Feb 18th, the new version will be the only one being updated. The old one will work but will not receive updates anymore. The new version is 7.5. You can go to the AVG website and download the free one. I think cnet.com will have the download as well.

No, it's just a new version of free AVG. It's 7.5.

Go to the website to download it.

You will continue to receive AVG for free. They want you to buy the pro version. It has more options.

This happened to one of my friends once. You just need to uninstall and be SURE to get the free version at free.grisoft.com.

Do not use it uninstall it as soon as possiable. Instal mcafee and see how many true viruses are on your pc. If you cant afford one there is a free one online at http://www.housecall.com.
