You go ahead and wear your capes and cloaks, and stare back at them like "where is your cape?" Don't let them dictate what you wear....are they letting you dictate what they wear? I think capes and cloaks are very sheik and say a lot about the person that is wearing it. You go girl. Bring back a classic.

workplace human beings. which may be humorous, some guy in an uninteresting workplace activity unexpectedly wearing a cape to artwork and mutually as human beings ask why he's wearing it, act like he has NO concept what they're talking approximately.

You need to move to Vancouver, nobody cares what you wear here...most people wear bathrobes, pjs or leather S&M type outfits...though I did see a guy dressed like Jesus last week...
My little brother wore a superman costume throughout kindergarten, would only take it off to have a bath (which is when we would wash it)...nobody said anything...
Personally, if you want to wear a cape, go ahead and wear it. Just by asking the question you've made me want to go out and buy one myself.

They fell out of fashion several decades ago. It's akin to wearing a bustle. While capes once made a fashion statement that was acceptable, they now say, "I don't care if I look like Dracula's bride."

It is uncommon, but at least to me I wouldn't find it weird.
I have a lot of respect for people who truly do their own thing, oblivious to what society tells them they "should" do.
