Read your history. There have been presidential fiascos forever. And some of the rhetoric dating back to revolutionary times would make you wonder how this country ever made it.

Presidents are only human -- none were perfect.

Nixon was probably the most intelligent, but not a good man.

Carter and Reagan were the most honest.

The two greatest world leaders in the 20th century were Churchill and Reagan. They were instrumental in defeating the Nazis and the Communists, which threatened civilization.

Carter "peanut farmer" was probably the most intelligent.As for your considerate gesture of leaving "Johnson out",L.B.J finished Kennedy's term,then was elected to a full term.He nominated to be re-elected 4 years later and was nominated,only to withdraw.
