well usually when you just buy bats from a major sporting goods store they come as a -3 if they have a pro cup on top it could be a -5 however from specialty sites or shops you can pretty much order anything even outside legal specs like thinner handles and wider barrels try mizzuno or ssk there is also a slight difference depending on the grain length and type of wood used such as maple is more compact and usually have a slightly lesser barrel width

I may be mistaken but I believe -3 baseball bats are specialty bats and have to be ordered.

most wood bats are -3, i've never even seen one thats -5
