It should be about $35. I recently (December 30th) took a taxi to the 4 Season Hotel in Downtown Miami (14th Terrace and Brickel) from MIA and it was $28, plus a $5 tip.

Miami cabs have a mandatory flat rate of $32.00 per cab to South beach - plus tip. The airport shuttle is $19.00 flat rate per person plus $1.00 per loaded bag (+ a temporary $1.00 per person fuel surcharge which may or may not continue until you arrive) . So for two or more traveling together, the cab is a better deal.
