If you are dealing with copper pipes it will be simpler and better to tap off as close to the new bath as you can wherever that may be. Your hot water will reach you sooner, saving energy, and your flow will be better because you will have less pipe resistance.

If you have galvanized piping it will be easier to extend from the existing with copper or CPVC to the new location. Trying to tap off of galvanized is a major operation and could create leaks on the existing piping.

Good Luck!

There's more to it than water. How are you going to get your drain, waste, and vent piping in? Depenging on how far you are from existing DWV (drain/waste/vent), you may need to add a whole new stack through the roof.

We need a bit more information to really help you, but there reall is no option other than to tie into existing plumbing at some point.

Unless the old plumbing is made of rubber and will stretch that far, you will have to add new lines from the existing system. It's not really BRAIN SURGERY!

Of course you just extend the primary lines to the new ones.

This will work. It's fairly simple, just remember to shut off your water when you cut into your existing lines.
