Aspirin can be a wonder drug. It can reduce fever and inflammation and relieve pain.

Doctors recommend it sometimes because it thins the blood and helps reduce the chances of repeat heart attacks.

So yes it does affect the blood. Sometimes that is a good thing- prevents clotting and troublesome blood clots and prevents some heart attacks. Sometimes it is a bad thing- it can cause stomach ulcers, ringing in the ears, bleeding that doesn't stop like it should.

A doctor should help your grandma determine if she should take aspirin and how much she should take. She must be careful especially if she takes any other drugs. Sometimes there can be dangerous drug interactions.

It is said and shown that Aspirin thins the blood, which is not good for the heart and causes blood not to clot as well to heal cuts. If taken for a long period of time, Aspirin can thin the lining of the stomach, causing ulcers and digestive problems. Taking too much Aspirin can also damage other organs of the body.

Aspirin thins the blood. Take too much for too long and you'll bleed more than usual if you get cut. Too much aspirin can also lead to ulcers in the stomach.

hi there~
too much asprin damages your liver, which causes your body not to filter out the "bad stuff" as well as it should. Why are you taking so much asprin? I would suggest ibuprofen, its much better for your system and doesn't cause damage to the liver. I wouldn't worry about your blood, but your liver is very important.

It just keeps going until it's done and that takes 3-10 days.

Aspirin thins your blood. Long term usage impairs your ability to clot (i.e. you'll bleed a long time if you get cut) and can also adversely affect your kidneys.
