Technically.......there may not be any provisions to discipline you or revoke your teaching certificate. They may also have their own ideas about immoral behavior. But...... let's say that a couple of the men from the PTA happen to stop at the strip club for a few drinks .... and recognize you??? Think about the public embarrassment, which would surely happen, when word got around town that Little Johnny's teacher was a stripper. The parents would surely raise a big enough stink and put enough pressure on the school board to have you fired for immoral conduct. They would also not hesitate in spreading the word far and wide, so you'd have a real problem getting a teaching job elsewhere. Your teaching job is a lot longer lasting, and will continue to pay you long after you stop looking good in a G-string.

If you teach anything above 4th grade you can be sure pics of your latest performance will be all over the bathroom and maybe even your classroom and other classrooms. Definitely the janitors room. If you have a problem with that then you probably should think about why your take issue with that. The reason why it bothers you is probably the same reason you should not teach kids. Stripping is not something that should be done by a role model. You are teaching your children to do something that will embarrass them. if these pictures would not embarrass you then you should have no problem teaching but i would not want my kid in your class.

Probably. I think that is crap though. It is America, and supposedly free. I don't know your reasoning for stripping, but I know you can make some mad cash. I don't blame women for stripping on the side..if teachers were not underpaid, they wouldnt have to resort to stripping. And to all of the parents out there..who cares if a teacher is a stripper. Not like you dont have any skeletons in your closet and you dont ever watch porn. You have sex with your spouse! Oh my god, you are so horrible. Maybe YOU should be kept away from your children. Come on, lighten up. You people are being WAY too anal.

Well I don't know the law of your state but you'd likely be stripped of your teaching position in the UK on the basis of role model responsibilities and professionalism. Is the little extra cash worth losing your whole salary over? Or couldn't you find something else part time?

The answer is yes (in Cali). You need to read the Education codes for your state. Teachers were considered to be above the so called moral codes. They are suppose to be "saints". You may want to consider stripping and dump teaching because you can not do both. However, you can be an ex stripper who teaches. Go online and read the ed codes for your state.

stripping/prostitution is all the same thing selling your body for money, and yes you can lose your job and quickly i might add, so if you want to be a hooker stripper, whatever then you should pursue that path and leave our children in the hands of the nourturing caregivers that built this great country im sure glad that my daughter doesnt learn her values from you!!

Your school district probably has a policy in place about something like this. Check their policy and practices book. Also, all districts that I know of expect their teachers to be role models to students, so you might want to think about what kind of behavior you would be modeling to your students. In my district, a teacher started doing this and the students found out about it. She ended up losing her job.

The question really isn't could you, but rather when would you. I'm sorry, I can sympathize with a teacher's desire to earn more money. But eventually you would be dancing for a parent. And although I myself am open-minded and would not object myself, I don't have kids yet.

No, you would not lose your certificate but you could lose your job on the grounds that you are not a fit and proper person to hold the position.

I dont know about Georgia but in some places teachers who have appeared nude in magazines have lost thier jobs. And I remember hearing about a teacher in California who stripped and lost her job but I believe she worked for a Christian school. I think that if you value your day job you will find some other way to make extra cash.
