I am also a nice person. If people are mean or rude to you, just be the bigger person and ignore it. Rude behavior is a sign of a bad upbringing. Also, a truly intelligent person, even if they disagree with you, does not have to resort to abusive behavior. Words of thought are powerful, insults are just a desperate attempt by an inferior mind.

I'm sorry that people can be mean like that. You have to remember though that there are still a lot of nice people in this world. Don't worry about the ones who aren't. They aren't worth the effort you put into worrying about them.
