wii or ps3?

This all comes down to simple choices, so i'll lay it out as simply as possible.

Wii is cheaper, has unlimited potential to change the videogame market forever due to its innovative motion control, has a virtual console to download games from Nintendo's past, and will have the most exclusive content due to it being so different from PS3 and XBOX 360.

PS3 has HD graphics, a Blue Ray DVD capable drive, is hundreds of dollars more expensive and the most expensive console on the market, ever.

My personal opinion:

- PS3 is overpriced, overhyped, and plays the same old way the PS2 did but with prettier graphics. Blue-Ray DVD may not become the standard next gen DVD format over HD-DVD, and thus in a few years may not even be a selling point. The system is buggy, and Sony is basically using the public's general lack of knowledge toward videogames and its Playstation name to push the console.

- Wii is the most affordable of the 3 next gen systems. It is currently selling the best, and its potential for truly changing the way we plat is yet to be tapped. There is no limit to where it could go, and the graphics are still up a notch from the Gamecube even if they aren't HD. The ability to buy games from the back library of Nintendo's other systems (plus the sega genesis and turbo graphix 16) is a huge point for getting this system over PS3, as there is no videogame library that can ever compare to Nintendo's. Because it is so different companies have no choice but to make many of the games exclusive or at least with an exclusive control scheme, meaning it will have far more creative content while PS3 will be sharing alot with the XBOX 360.

Overall, if you care about blue-Ray DVD and HD graphics over gameplay, fun and innovation, go for PS3. Otherwise, Wii is a much better investment.

Psst... To tell you the truth Mr. Vergales, Wii is the best overall! It's innovative controller gets you active and peppy everytime you play! The heat seems to be going on more between PS3 and XBOX 360. Thw Wii seems to be driving in a different path. The PS3 may look a little better, and the graphics are great and all, but Wii has a unique game experience that will make your great-great-great-grandfather want to jump up and down with the wireless controller! Nintendo crushes all!

wii all the way! the games are fun, innovative, and just about anyone can get into them. The ps3 has, in my opinion, almost no good games coming out untill the end of this year, and then there should be a price drop. The wii has great games right now, and they will be continuing to come out. Even if you don't like any of them, you can still get a ton of virtual console games for a great price. Not to mention its 350 dollars less...

in terms of raw performance, i go to the ps3. But we all know that nintendo surprises us every gaming generation we came to know it. Wii has great gaming experience through its wireless controller and its games like mario and the greatest game of all time......ZZZEEEELLLLDDDAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
