Doesn't need to make sense.
Although, to be fair, there is no safe way to use tobacco and there are safe ways to use alcohol.

Because smoking kills everyone around you; they can't even stand being near you for more than a minute or they will die!
But its different with alcohol! You can drink all you want, get in fights & hurt others, beat your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend, children, get into your car careen down the street get in a wreck & kill ten people, spend a few years in prison, get out & do it all again! But thats O.K. cause it's only alcohol!

I'm with you, but alcohol commercials are not allowed to actually SHOW people drinking. Maybe they have better lobbyists?

I agree, I have never been out on a hard night of smoking and woke up to regret the night before.

I've seen smoking commercials, mabey it just depends on where you live but I think both should be banned every where.
