My surfboard hit me in the face about 3 weeks ago and it swelled up. I never iced it or anything. I figured the swelling would go away on its own. However, it has not gone down and know i have a big knot it my face. I don't know if i should ice it, rub it, or apply heat. please help. i don't want a big knot in my face my entire life. thank you.

well you should have iced it when you got hit, now it's a little on the late side. Go to the Dr. If you still have a knot in your face it could be dead skin, muscle and blood and the only way to get rid of it is to drain it. (with a needle or surgery) You might have done more damage than you think, so I'd be getting it checked out, NOW.

You might have broken a bone in your face, especially since it has been 3 weeks and the swelling has not gone down.

I suggest getting to the doctor ASAP.

Mmm...did you break a bone? Next time right away ice...Soothex is great to as it detoxify, takes swelling away, increases the circulation and oxygen...Good luck maybe see a MD.

3 weeks eh?
That seems long enough for a good amount of healing to have occurred and swelling to have subsided.
I think you know what's next....you may have broken something and it's not going to heal normally...
get yourself checked and x-rayed by the doc.

At this point, start rubbing it with FRESH of the plant Aloe Vera every hour or as possible as is practical.

There is nothing you can do at this point. You may want to see a doc on Monday to get it checked though just to be sure it is ok.
