My computer frequently tells me that my virtual memory is low. and right now the computer is super slow, and I can't access certain applications. How can I fix this?

To change virtual memory, right click on My Computer, go to Properties, then the advanced tab, then click settings under performance, then the advanced tab, then where it says Virtual Memory click change. I don't know how much you have it set to now becaue I can't really understand what you said, but you should never need to set it higher than 1500MB.

Down where it says virtual settings click change. when that box comes up click custom setting. The industry standard is 1.5 times your RAM for your minimal and 3 times your RAM for your max. Other than that your set.

Virtual memory is using the hard disk to make RAM memory. You should check the free space and defrag your hard drive.

Set it to let windows manage memory.
and it would be nice if you can add more ram it will boost you computer and increase virtual memory.
