I've often heard babies referred to as "bouncing babies." Do they really bounce? Wouldn't that injure them?

Do you bounce? Let's take you out on the roof, drop you and see.

*lol* they kinda do, not really though.

Maybe it is because moms bounce them all the time. The good old bounce 'n' sway that all moms seem to do. Sometimes even when they aren't holding the baby.

Well.. my daughter, when I would hold her on my knees, would bounce herself like crazy..
there is also a thing called a "bouncy", it's something you put a baby in, and they enjoy it a lot.
As far as a baby being dropped, then bouncing back up.. NO.. please don't ever try that lol.

Wow, that is an expression meaning how you feel when you hoild a baby. they feel like thay need to be bounced, wither on your knee or to quiet them when they are crying. It doesn't mean literally bouncing them, it means lively and full of life and happy. lol

I'm confused with your question. Do you mean babies bouncing while in utero? Please be more specific.
