a million) No length or grit up front. 2) A shielding unit that lacks aggression and a real p.c.. mover/ability play "quarterback". 3) a sturdy backup goalie in Halak and an over-rated and a growing to be sort of unreliable type one in value. No i can not see the Habs making the playoffs this 300 and sixty 5 days, and that i think of 2012 must be stretching it somewhat to boot. The group needs to do away with Bob Gainey, blow each little thing up and initiate lower back.

I think the slippery slope will continue until its to late for a recovery. Montreal ends up behind Toronto and out of the playoffs. A shame too as Montreal is the best hockey town going.

The east is so close right now it seems like anyone could get in (except Phili). I am a Pens fan and I even though they are 4th in the east they are only 5 points from watching the playoffs on their couch. Its gonna be a hell of a run to the playoffs and I can't wait.

The Canadiens are struggling at the wrong time of the season. With the growing list of injuries and their inability to score, they are doomed to miss the playoffs.

Depends how long they slump. If they come out and start winning soon then yeah no problem to make the playoffs.

My husband said at the beginning of the season when they were doing good that they were playing above themselves, it will catch up and they'll show their true abilities and would not make the playoffs, and Toronto who we hate will actually get 8th and final spot into the playoffs.
Wow he called that one

If they lose some of their key players and if the slump continues, then it'll take an Oilers-esque miracle for them to make it.

they're in a 3-way tie for 8th place in the eastern conference right now. It'll be close, but they'll bounce back IMO.
