Sometimes the smaller mom-and-pop pet stores will buy them back or give you a credit. I just gave away a fish by listing it on www.craigslist.com. It's a free listing service. Just make sure you list it in the pets section and in your area bc it's a national website. I had a dozen replies within 24 hours to take my one fish. The guy came by and picked him up yesterday. If you don't want your fish, I would just offer to give them away instead of trying to sell them bc you will get rid of them faster that way.

If you call your angel fish, a PET, have a heart. Don't flush him, or kill him any other way. It is really Cruel, Heartless, Uncivilized and Barbaric to do that.
Some kind, civil and humane options are:
Keep your angel in another tank or fish bowl.
See if one of your friends or relatives would like to own him, and gift your angel to him or her. This way you will know your angel is in good hands and will be able to see your angel as often as you want when you visit your friend's house.
Donate your angel to a school, your doctor or dentist, where they usually keep fish tanks.
Gift or sell your angel at a throw away price (a very low price) to a poor child you know who will love your gift and take good care of it, and always remember you for it.
Sell your angel on Ebay or some other website for a reasonable price. While advertising him, do mention that he is slightly aggressive towards other fish. This way only a pet lover who knows how to handle the problem will buy him and your angel will be in good hands.
Enquire with a pet store you know and tell them your angel is healthy. Pet stores usually do not like to buy from pet owners because the fish may be sick. Assure the pet owner that your angel is perfectly healthy and that you want to sell him only because he is slightly aggressive towards the other fish. He will certainly buy your fish for a reasonable price or might even let you exchange it for some fish of your choice.

Getting a diverse tank for this fish, or giving it to somebody, would be greater humane than killing it, yet once you're able to.... MS222 is the only drug nicely-referred to as a humane thank you to kill a fish in the U. S.. that's a fish tranquilizer which will kill a fish in case you overdose with it. Tranquilize the fish with the main appropriate dose, then upload a 2d, deadly, dose. Clove oil has been used as a fish anesthetic, regardless of the undeniable fact that that is no longer reliable and the fish is in all probability conscious for the time of the approach. An overdose would kill, yet ought to no longer be risk-free or humane. putting a fish into ice water or boiling water would kill it, yet would be painful. The fish's reactions would exhibit that that's reacting in discomfort. For human beings, freezing to loss of life is easily between the main painful deaths, up till the final degree while unconsciousness gadgets in. Stabbing a fish without postpone in the concepts would kill it devoid of postpone if complete precisely top. The discomfort would be short yet severe. do no longer flush the fish, alive or ineffective. unique bacteria or fish parasites that our close by fish have not been uncovered to and have not have been given any resistance to must be presented into the atmosphere. Bury it exterior under a bush or tree and quickly conceal it with a heavy rock to steer away from animals from digging it up. Or positioned it interior a plastic bag, and that one in yet another plastic bag and positioned it in the trash.

Most better pet shops will take a fish off your hand, just explain the problem to them and they will probably take him. If you got him there or if he's a particularly nice Angel I would ask for some store credit.
Another option is to donate him to a school in your area. Teachers often like to have fish tanks and one will probably have room for him. It's fun to see the kids get all excited over it too.
You could also see if there is an aquarium club in your area. If so almost certainly some member will take it, maybe even buy it for a little less than going rate for similar angels (after all, everyone wants to get a good deal).

craiglist is a great place to list fish. sell it for a few bucks -- if you give it away it might end up someone else's pets dinner.
